about

A number of really challenging struggles in my life that had taken a fair amount of my time, money, and emotional resilience finally resolved and I found myself feeling a bit on the shellshocked side. OK, so, now that the air is clear, what's next? This song reflects that state.

Recorded sometime in 2011, not previously released on any albums.

lyrics

it's hard to believe
that the war is over
now I don't have anyone to fight
no I don't have anyone to fight
or anywhere to bleed

it's hard to believe
that the rain is over
now the sun is drying up the sky
yeah the sun is drying up the sky
and anywhere it sees

it's hard to believe
yeah it's hard to believe
it's hard to believe
yeah it's hard to believe
and it's hard to believe
it's hard to believe
now I don't have anyone to fight
no I don't have anyone to fight
or anywhere to bleed

so put on your striped shirt
and pick up your flag and march it overground
so put on your striped shirt
and pick up your flag and march it overground
so put on your striped shirt
and pick up your flag and march it overground
overground ...

it's hard to believe
that the war is over
it's hard to believe
that the war is over
